We have seen weddings early 90’s to 2000 where all home maker was being part of wedding that’s why it was called as “ घर की शादी”.  The vendors was having limited access , the Beautucian was having only 2 make ups  Photographers was having one or 2 days assignments  Florist was having only one day & limited assignments  Caterer was not even there maharaj used to cook food & Nephews & niece used to to serve Venue ? What was that ? It was just infront of house  Music ? Just a simple Sound system for making announcements !  Mehandi ? Making / changing rooming list at the last moment ?  Giving reminders for vendors working late night ?  Managing Team reaching on time ! कौन हूँ मैं ? मेरा क्या वजूद है ? सही मैं इस दुनिया में रहेने के काबिल हूँ ? इस समाज को मेरी ज़रूरत है ? या एक ना चाहते हुए दुनिया का एक बोज ?  कहते है , मंगल स्वर कान में घूमे तो अच्छा लगता है । शादी में बैंड नहीं तो शादी नहीं ! दोस्त बोलते है शादी कैसे भी करना लेकिन नाचने के लिए बैंड ज़ोरदार चाहिये । लेकिन कभी सोचा है? ये बैंड वाला है कौन ?  मैं हूँ ये ' बैंड वाला ' ! एक गुमनाम हस्ती ! एक ऐसी शख़्सियत जिसे ना दाम मिला ना नाम ! मिला तो सिर्फ़ फेंका हुआ पैसा !  एक संगीतकार से कम नहीं है हम ! बस हालात के मारे हैं ! इसमें गलती भी है हमारी , हमने ना जाना वक़्त की नज़ाकत को नहीं हमनें जाना दुनिया के इस नए दौर को !  शादी में बजाने जाना है ! मालिक / मुकदम ने बोल दिया ! इसके ऊपर हमने कभी सोचा नहीं !  लॉकडाउन में इस छोटेसे दिमाग़ की बत्ती जली , खाने के निवाले कम हो रहे थे ! बीमारी का ख़ौफ़ इस कदर फैल रहा था की लग रहा था की कल देख पाऊँ की  नहीं समझ में नहीं आ रहा था ! सोचा मैं इस बिरादरी की काबिल हूँ ? क्यूँकि किसिको कुछ फ़रक नहीं पड रहा था . अंदर से आवाज़ आयी , हाँ...

Few days before there was a sales call with one of my client .. the client was well educated , well established & from well to do family  I reached on DOT time & the family appreciated.. the discussion started .. the concept is very clear is all about #Weddingplanning .. the key point started is all about Fees  One of the family member started sharing about they do this & they do that .. & bla bla bla  After doing almost 400+ weddings & having the brightest review in town .. I was just being patient & listening .. #Beingpatient is an most important learning why I went through  The client was fortunately an architect & the family member was talking about others what they do .. once he competed I simply replied .. “ What Others do it None of my concern & Mr Architect can understand better this .. a pin drop silence & what .. the deal is done ..  Sometimes just a single word is enough to explain what you are up to 😄😄 Eventfully...

Day befor yestrday around 9.30 pm i went for a sales call .. it was a sales call for scheduled wedding in Nov 2021 .. i rang the bell & stayed & waiting for someone to respond .. a lady came & said who is this .. i said my name is RAHUL VINAY BODHANKAR … she replied .. OHH EVENTWALE ?? please come .. the immidiate start point i have noticed & said to my self .. yesssss this wedding is ours .. now you must be in doubt how ? the immidate cracking point was they were imagining Event Manager & there was Wedding planner … means they were expecting a routine fresh Doctor but they met with MD OR MS .. a superspecialist one..    & the initial dialogues went in this way .. “ Good Evening” let me intriduce my self as an Wedding planner but not a Event Manager .. they were shocked & specticle about what i am saying ..! then the presentation started & a token amount collected as an official . family wedding planner of that family with one seating … i sold...

आषाढ महिन्याचा ९ वा  दिवस .. रिमझिम पावसाच्या सारी आणि सनई चे मंजुळ स्वर .. केळीच्या पानाचा डोलारा , झेंडूच्या फुलांचे " इंनोवेटिव्ह " तोरण , आंब्याच्या पानाची आरास , रेखीव रांगोळी आणि पंचपक्वान्नाचा सुवास.. देवब्राह्मण पूजेची तयारी आणि कुलकर्णी कुटुंबातील सर्व पाहुण्याची लगबग .. तेजस आणि गायत्री च्या स्वप्नवत सुरेख विवाहसोहळ्याचा खऱ्या अर्थाने पहिला दिवस ... ट्रेंनिंग मध्ये असताना मारवाडी, पंजाबी , गुजराती समाजामध्ये ५-७ दिवसांचे विवाह पहिले आणि कामही केलं .. कायम मनात  प्रश्न असायचा आपले मराठी समाजाचे विवाह सोहळे एवढे भव्यदिव्य आणि ५-७ दिवसांचे का नाही होत ? मग अनुभवरून लक्षात आल .. कुलकर्णी आणि नाईक यांसारखे यजमान असणे आवश्यक आहे .. ४ माही पूर्वी या विवाह सोहळ्याच प्लांनिंग सुरु झालं .. अतिशय सुस्वभावी , आणि जमिनीवर पाय असणारे हे कुटुंब .. नवरदेव सुद्धा एक आदर्श मुलगा , भाऊ आणि आता नवरा .. म्हंजे तेजस मला फोन केल्यानंतर "दादा दोन मिनिटं  बोलू ?" अशी सुरुवात करणारा.. तर अश्या या सुसंकृत परिवाराची एकच अपेक्षा लग्न सर्वांनी एन्जॉय केला पाहिजे , धमाल केली पाहिजे आणि...
